Dr. Kenneth Funk

M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, PhD in Organic Chemistry, Logos Research Associate

Dr. Kenneth Funk attended Moody Bible Institute, graduated from Houghton College as a chemistry major, zoology minor and Case-Western Reserve University with both masters and doctorate degrees in organic chemistry specializing in amino acid and peptide chemistry in the laboratory of world-renowned Professor Miklos Bodanzsky. His main process development activities at Abbott included leading a section of chemists developing a process for and manufacturing Lupron, TAP Pharmaceutical's billion-dollar nonapeptide drug for the treatment of prostate cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, precocious puberty and in-vitro fertilization. During that time, he had twelve publications, three patents, nine patent disclosures and a book chapter.
