Dr. Don Jacobson

Don Jacobson received his M.S. degree in Applied Physics from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1975 and a PhD in Biophysics from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1991.  Between degrees he worked in industry for 12 years including the positions of V.P. of Research and Development for Radiation Measurements Inc., and Physicist in the systems engineering department for General Electric Medical Systems. In 1987 he accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where he currently teaches radiological physics and conducts research in the area of breast imaging.  Dr. Jacobson is certified in Diagnostic Imaging Physics by the American Board of Radiology. He has six patents relating to radiology and has authored a book on the physics and technology of mammography.

Dr. Jacobson served for one year as the Technical Director of the Science Education Center at Timber-lee Christian Center in East Troy, WI where he designed and constructed a number of physical and biological science hands-on demonstrations. In this position he also wrote a science teaching curriculum outline that incorporates humanity and supports the biblical worldview.

Dr. Jacobson began teaching on the topic of science and the Bible in 1970.  His teaching experience includes Middleton Bible Institute and Moody Bible Institute Evening School in Madison, WI.  He has taught classes and made presentations in a variety of churches and to High School and Jr. High School Time-Out groups.

Don has been married to Cathy for 47 years. They have three children and eight grandchildren.

They created and run Radiological Diagnostic Products, Inc., a small home business that manufactures radiology imaging accessories.  They also formed a 501c3 non-profit Center for Worldview Development, Inc.  (currently inactive).
